Been a while

A lot has happened in the past two months. I turned 21 which makes me legal to buy alcohol, and gamble. For my 21s birthday, I took 3 shots and called it a night, such a light weight! Then I went to Revel in AC with my parents and boyfriend, had a great time and even walked away with 12 dollars!

School has been so stressful! Acting, speech, bio and nutrition arent that bad but accounting is killer! I need it for my major but this one project I have has caused countless nights of no sleep, unintentional weight loss, hair loss, stress, you get the point. Its terrible! I mean Im averaging a B-/B but its not acceptable in my book especially since I live in the tutoring/ extra help center four days a week sometimes for a few hours at a time, I should be getting at least an A but its really nothing to stress about. Im doing all I can really!

As you may be aware, the east coast was hit really badly by Hurricane Sandy. I live in Jersey and the beloved Jersey Shore took a beating. Part of my state are still without power, some even without home. My parents and brother were without electricity for FIVE DAYS! My boyfriend still doesnt have power so his family has a generator going but they still havent been able to have a home cooked meal. With that came a lot of money wasted due to food having to be thrown out, as well as those with generators had to wait on long lines for gas and some were even turned away due to gas stations running out of gas. The thing was many stations ran out of gas or they simply didnt have electricity so they remained closed. Gov. Christie issued a gas rationing which seemed to have NJ in a 1973 mind state. Odd-evening rations were something I had only read about in my history class and now Im living through it. Im lucky to say that I dorm on campus so the need for a car is minimal and thus I dont have to worry about filling up my tank, my car is safely home. I also had heat, running hot water and electricity while millions of East Coasters were without all these basic necessities.  Many times I feel that I have it worse than so many people but in the aftermath of Sandy, Im grateful for all that I have and that I still have a house that I can call home. Many people especially those who live down the shore or in Staten Island arent so lucky. My heart breaks for those who have lost it all. Sometimes God gives us all we can handle and other times more so. In situations like this, I wish I could do more than just a clothing donation or a donation of a dollar but its knowing in my heart that I could at least give back some how to someone who's in need.

On a side note, I made an appointment with my Doctor and went back to see my RD. I had blood work done about 2-3 weeks ago and my RD made up a meal plan. For my height, Im underweight as a result of a restrictive anorexic/over exercising relapse. College stress and the constant thoughts in my mind arent helping me to recover. I feel like I might take a few steps one day then something stresses me out, usually school or my roommate hanging out with my old roommate constantly, and then I take 20 steps back, over exercise and restrict. Im determined to recover. Ana seems to have crept back into my life again since she showed her ulgy face 6 years ago and as much as I dont want to part from her, I want a healthy life. I want to excel in my studies, get a college degree and get a job, get married and have a child, Ive always said adopting one because I never know the damage Ive done by not eating and not having my cycle for months on end. This time I truly am ready to recover, in the past I had to due to my parents intervention and me basically being forced to get treatment.

"I'm not telling you it will be easy, I am telling you it is worth it."

If its raining on campus, it must be a Tuesday!

If its raining on campus, chances are its going to either be a Tuesday or Wednesday. Why would I even mention this? Well the past two years that Ive attended college where I am now, Tuesdays and Wednesdays tend to be the rainiest. Its quite comical and funny to the outsiders who don't attend college at my university but its a tried and true fact. This morning, I woke up at my usual time of 6:45 to head over to the dining hall since it is a bit of a trek. How my room is positioned, the windows in my room over look the soon to be new dining hall but as of right now, its still under construction. So I ended up being weather challenged this morning and walked outside into a rain and wind storm. Luckily I was wearing  hooded jacket, so I didn't get too wet. The way back to my dorm wasn't too different, it was still raining. When I headed over to the gym, I had an umbrella. By lunch time, I was prepared, I had my hooded jacket, umbrella and rain boots. I have a bit of down time until dinner and then its straight to class from 5:30-8pm. In the mean time, I've gotten all my homework and studying out of the way, that way come Thursday when I go home, I only have to worry about Biology and the exam on Monday.

Breakfast: 1 med banana and 1 cup of reduced fat cottage cheese with sriracha sauce.

Lunch: 1 cup of minestrone soup, with 1 cup carrots, and 1/4 cup cucumbers.

Have a great day! If its raining where you are, stay dry!

Busy busy busy

The best way that I can describe the past two weeks have been busy, busy and busy. The fall semester is still getting under way and Im still adjusting to dorm life once again. I love being home, sleeping in my own bed, eating home cooked meals, drinking great coffee and not having to share a room with anyone. Recently, I started dating a guy so obviously, there's the feelings of missing him. I do get to see him every Saturday and since Thursday is the big 2-1 for me, he's picking me up and I'll be home for four days. Also, the dorm Im currently living in, is still under construction. They are building a Dunkin, a sub shop and a quickie mart type store. Need less to say, the construction has been nonstop through the early mornings and even into 1am in the morning!

Ive also had my first full week of classes. Accounting which is required for my major is going to be the most challenging course of the semester. Its a lot of reading and the professor is kind of boring and needless to say, its a 7am class Monday and Thursday! Thank goodness for Venti coffee! Bio is one of my favorite classes, and I like the professor, theater and speech are both fun classes and both professors don't believe in grades so thats always a plus and my nutrition class so far isn't too shabby. We have a few quizzes throughout the semester and the big project is to take a recipe and deconstruct it, then recreate it in a new and unique way! Talk about a fun yet challenging course!

Since the gym is directly next to my building, Ive had no excuse not to work out and that's just what I have been doing! Everyday, I make sure I get my run or spin workout in plus I lift weights 3 times a week. I use to workout solely to lose weight but not anymore. I workout to relieve stress, stay tone and build up my muscle tone and arms.

The food on campus is typical for a college campus. It has its good and bad points but I mainly stick with fruit, vegetables, egg/egg whites, the soups aren't too bad, beans and cottage cheese. On the days where I have to wake up for accounting or on the weekend, I'll have a piece of fruit, a fiber one bar or a cup of cereal with almond milk. My goal still is to increase my calories a bit so Im not weak and tired all the time. I know being a nutrition major, how to eat healthy but struggling for years with certain issues has caused me once again to restrict my calories a bit too much. Im at a weight where Im comfortable but I know with the amount Ive been eating and how often I exercise, chances are, my weight is slowly decreasing again. Im trying to avoid that, so to get out of this rut, Ive been added 100 or so calories until Im at a healthier intake of calories. I can't just fill up on veggies and egg
whites all the time.

Have a great week!

New Year, New Me

Ah school! How many students dread the early morning classes, commute to school and the oh so exciting quizzes, exams and finals. Im starting my junior year of college and Im actually excited. Yesterday was the first day of classes and I had theater/ acting and speech. Both professors seemed really chill and both classes although require speaking in front of a group of my peers, definitely seem like they're going to be a lot of fun although hardish work. Today, I had my first 7am class! Required for a nutrition major is accounting which most likely will be the class that requires the most studying since Ive never taken an accounting course. This afternoon/evening, I had biology which Im really looking forward to. I always liked bio and the professor is great so far plus one of the assignments which is 25% of the overall grade is to go to either the Bodies Exhibit in NYC or the Natural museum, both really interest me and I know picking which museum to go to, might be the hardest part of the class. lol

Tomorrow, is Friday and the weekend! Luckily, how my schedule worked out with 17 credits, allows me to have Fridays off. Bio is 4 credits and one of my nutrition classes is also 4 credits.

Food wise, its the typical college dining experience. Lastly, its consisted of a piece of fruit for breakfast, egg whites, and loads of veggies at lunch and dinner. Gym wise, Ive gotten back to jogging for 45 min to an hour a day and lifting weights.

SO far, so good! Lets get this school year started out right!

Been away for a bit

I was in Chicago! It was sorta spur of the moment as in next flight out in the am! I was really nervous and excited about going and taking a plane by myself for the first time. I don't fly often and from what I remembered, its a pain going thru security. I flew out of Philly which ended up being a breeze. I arrived

early in the am in Chicago and grabbed lunch, of a nice healthy salad. Afterwards, I went swimming in Lake Michigan which is so different from the Jersey shore. Its much calmer and the water is a lot clearer, calmer in the sense of the waves are only created due to boats or jet skis, and there aren't any jellyfish or weird sea critters.

The next day, I went a little shopping to get fresh fruits, veggies and whatever else I needed for the time I was there. I also did a little clothes shopping since I only packed two dresses for my mini internship. The next day, I met with the MD and set up a schedule to come and intern, apparently this who thing wasn't thought out and the MD was leaving to go on vacation the following week so I ended up only interning twice with the MD and twice reorganizing the front office. It ended up being a great learning experience in the sense that people are willing to try anything to lose weight. Everything that I had learned up to this point in college was questioned. But people are on such diets as HCG, optifast, and other type of quick weight loss plans. Are they acceptable, in some eyes, yes, but in my eyes not so much. I believe that a diet should be more of a life style change, add walking to start off if you haven't exercised in a while, add more vegetables, fruits and really try to have something within the first hour of waking up. Its easy to spend hundreds even thousands of dollars on these plans but in the long run, whats happening to your body and organs?

Aside from that aspect of the internship, I did learn how an office is managed and how files are kept. While I was out in Chicago, I went to a Chanel make up event and had my make up done. Im very simple with my make up routine and Im always looking for something to do to make my skin look better and just look prettier. I usually use bare minerals and I have for years mainly to hid my acne or make my face look less oily. Now that my face is much clearer, I started to use a liquid foundation and the Chanel one ended up being a perfect match to a Lancome one that Ive tried in the past.

The first Saturday I was there, Aug. 4th, I headed into Chicago to take a cooking class at "The Chopping Block," which was a vegetarian class in which I learned to make fresh pasta sauce, eggplant parm, a corn chowder, and a grilled vegetable salad with black beans and avocado. I learned how to properly grill eggplant which being a vegetarian is useful since I would basically eat it raw. I also worked with chayote squash and poblano peppers. Im not one to eat a lot, so I had a taste of everything. The best part about it was learning how to use the different knives and graders since Im a nutrition major and I will eventually have to take a few cooking classes and food productions courses.

The following week, I went to see Coldplay in concert! Another spur of the moment event that resulted in getting cheap floor seats. The concert was amazing. Each person in the audience gets a wristband that has a hashtag so you can tweet live and the cool thing about the wristband was when the Coldplay came on stage, it light up depending on what color band you had and the song/ beat of the music.( I think it was  a tad too bright to get a great picture but I was 14th row from the stage!)

The next day, I took a sailing class. Ive been on boats before but nothing like this. To be honest, I ended up feeling really sick and only steered the rutter for a short while but all in all it was a great learning experience.

The following night, I went with my mom's cousin and his wife, who I was staying with to see an oldies band called The Nitty Gritty Dirt band. Defiantly not my cup of tea but overall it was a great night listening to decent live music and decent wine.

On Sat, the 11th, I took an early flight out of Chicago back to Philly. This was the best experience and best vacation/ learning experience of my life so far. Im so blessed to have had this opportunity and equally blessed for caring cousins.

Raw Revolution Review

The other week, I revived a package from Raw Revolution. Raw Revolution are raw, organic, vegan, gluten-free, peanut-free and live nutrition bars.

Tropical Banana- Really good and a bonus was the real chunks of banana. It’s vegan which I liked a lot. This bar contained 170 calories, 7g fat, 26g carb, 5g fiber and 5g protein.
Apple Cinnamon- This was my favorite. The sweet flavor of apple with just a hint of cinnamon reminded me of the apple and cinnamon oatmeal I use to eat as a child. This bar had 150cal 5g of fat, 27g carb, 6g fiber and 3g protein.
Chocolate Raspberry Truffle - I really liked this bar alot. The plus side is how filling it was. It does come with a high fat tag though. (220 calories, 14 grams of fat) On the flip side, there are 7 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber.
Spirulina Dream- Before this bar, I never heard of spirulina, but with the combination of cashew, this bar contained whole cashews, was amazing.
Coconut Delight- This bar had great flavor and no after taste. The texture was delish and rich. The two flavors went together perfectly. I would recommend this as a quick breakfast of mini-meal as it was a heavy bar that was really filling.
Chocolate Crave: Tasted really good along with a deep chocolate flavor that’s not too over powering for me, but other people might find it to be. Once again, kept me full for hours considering it’s high fat content. The fat is from almonds, cashews, flax seed and sunflower seeds which are all healthy fats.
Golden Cashew- Actual pieces of cashews and almonds made this bar worth trying.

Chocolate Coconut Bliss- This bar reminded me a lot of an almond joy bar, but all natural. It was a heavy bar for a snack so I personally would eat this as a mini-meal.
Heavenly Hazelnut & Chocolate- I liked the taste of this bar lot. It kept me full for hours! Their best contribution is the protein (7 grams ) and three grams of fiber.
Lemon Dew- There’s a great lemony taste that provided a light and refreshing snack. This bar has 160 calories, 5g fat, 28g carb, 4g fiber and 4g protein.

Overall, I liked the large assortment of various bars to choose from and every ingredient is organic. They don’t use artificial ingredients or preservatives in their bars, they don’t use refined sugars in their bars, the bars taste great, and the texture of the bars are soft and chewy.

PureFit Review

PureFit Nutrition Bars come in 5 delicious flavors: “Granola Crunch, Almond Crunch, Berry Almond Crunch, Chocolate Brownie, & Peanut Butter.” They sent me one of each to try & I truthfully enjoyed them all. If I had to choose a favorite, it’s a toss up between the Almond Crunch and the Chocolate Brownie since both were so rich & delicious it was hard to believe I was eating a healthy treat. Their texture is thick, chewy, a bit on the dense side, but not necessarily “crunchy” as some of the names state.

Each PureFit flavor conveniently has the same nutritional breakdown, & follows the “40/30/30” ratio (40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat). One bar contains 210-220 calories, 24-25 grams of carbohydrates (10-14 grams of sugar), 2-4 grams of fiber, 18 grams of protein, and 6-7 grams of fat. The bars contain all-natural ingredients and free from artificial sweeteners, trans fats and hydrogenated oils as well as wheat, gluten, and dairy-free. In addition, they have a low glycemic index which means they are diabetic-friendly.
Overall I really enjoyed PureFit bars and would recommend them to anyone looking for a protein bar that’s relatively low in sugar, vegan and great tasting.

Nuun Review

I received a package containing two tubes of natural hydration tablets in the mail from a company called NUUN. U Natural hydration and Nuun Active hydration Strawberry Lemonade were the two flavors that were went to me.

Strawberry Lemonade was the first flavor that I tried. This flavor of Nuun was lightly flavored so the lemonade flavor wasn't too strong and proves your body with electrolytes. Compared to other sports drinks, I liked Nuun much better especially since these are all natural and much lower in calories. Each tab or tablet, when added to 16 oz of water provides fewer than 8 calories, less than 1g of carb, 360mg of sodium, 50mg of potassium, 25mg of Magnesium, and 13mg of Calcium.

Goji Berry Green Tea is lightly flavored when added to water and tasted great. The goji berry flavor wasn't too overpowering. Overall, I liked this flavor and as an alternative to propel this will be my go to drink additive. The U Natural line of Nuun provides you with electrolytes which many lose during exercise without providing any artificial sweeteners or sugar.  Each tablet makes 16 ounces of U Hydration and delivers 180 mg Sodium, 77 mg Potassium, 20 mg Magnesium as well as providing Vitamin A, C and various B vitamins.

Summer Time

The semester has been over since last week and Im currently on summer vacation! Every year seems to be more and more stressful and Im horrible when it comes to stress. Usually I break out like a 13 year old and my hair falls out like a depressed bird plucking their feathers. Thankfully I did better than I thought! Hello Dean's LIST!!! I ended up with four A's and one B+! Im so relieved to have done that well considering I lived with the roommate from hell and I had to put up with her BS and drama and unstableness.
With summer comes the warmer months, tanning outside, swimming, beach time, family time and of course the vacations. This summer, unlike last summer, Im actually going away on vacation with my parents. So far we are going to Chicago and Virginia. My mom’s cousin booked sailing lessons for her and I which is something that the two of us have been talking about for a while now.
Since Ive been home, Ive actually ran Wed to Saturday and yesterday since I begged my parents last June to buy me a spin bike, I did a spinning workout. Yesterday and today have been icky rainy day and Im watching my niece for 8 hrs so when I get home, Im taking to the streets for an hour jog. Yesterday, I walked my dog for 20 minutes and then ran about 20 min and then it began to pour! Lately Ive been getting the “you’re getting skinny again” “you’re losing too much weight.” Personally, I think Im fine weight wise, however I know Im not eating nearly enough for a 20 year old female who is 5’9″ and works out 6-7 days a week.
What have I been up to? Im actually trying to find a summer job but Ive taken to being a Guinea Pig and testing products for cash. I’ve also picked up my guitar and learned a few chords, and a few songs that Ive pretty much mastered. I mean most of the songs are three to four chords which is what a typical song is but some songs in which I though would be simple ended up having quiet a few chord changes and were just too complicated for a beginner player. I really want to play better so I can play on a Martin Guitar which if you haven’t heard of, you’re obviously not into music or guitar playing. All I have to say is that a Martin Guitar is how a guitar should sound if you strum it and feel the vibrations on your body.
Sunday was mother’s day. And I took it upon myself to throw together a nice day out for my mom. I need up going to Costco and picking up a gift card to a place not to far from my brother’s house called Bensi’s and being the nice person that I can, invited my brother, sister-in-law and niece out to brunch with us. My mom was really impressed and surprised with the day out. For a brunch, it wasn’t too bad. I eat like a bird so I had fresh fruit, three slices of tomato and a slice of fresh mozzarella and 1/2 a plain egg white omelet and coffee. Yumm! After brunch, I visited my grandmother, Im not a big fan of going to visit her. She old and in the way, God forgive me for saying that but every time I go over there, she asks me when Im going to Europe with school and why i don’t have a job. Umm Im not going to Europe with school, just give me the damn three grand you promised me, and not one will hire me! Ive already filled out 8 applications lady! I have to be nice though since she is the last and only grandparent of mine left. Life’s too short so I have to be nice and not take anything for granted.

Today for breakfast, I had a 0% fage blueberry acai yogurt and coffee with almond milk. For lunch I had an unsweetened apple sauce, a cup of progresso vegetable soup and three whole wheat Dr. Kracker crackers. Yummm.

Tonight I'm going to see Dark Shadows with my parents and Im exited! I've heard mixed reviews about it, so I'll see for myself. Have a great week!

Hello Summer!

I took my one and only final this morning at the crazy hour of 7am! On top of that, it was storming and pouring. So I ended up getting soaked but on the flip side, I got in a great spin workout soon after my final and got myself a nice hot tea! Yum!

I took a hot shower and started to pack up the rest of my room. Its amazing how quickly the semester flew by as well as the school year.

Food intake: Breakfast: banana

Lunch: soup

May Day

May 1st and its a cold rainy day. By now, I would have thought the weather in Jersey would have reached the upper 70s. Unfortunately, this is not the case. This is the final stretch of the semester with a final Friday, a game of Jeopardy in Mythology next Tuesday and a collection of labs for my nutrition class next Wednesday night. Im actually moving out of my dorm on Saturday morning so yesterday I began to pack up my dorm room. Normally I probably would have moved out Tuesday but its much easier for my parents to come up on the weekend and unload my room. Plus, my roommate is a complete looney toon. I just know how to pick the best of the best for roommates. :P

Any who...today I went to the gym this morning and then around 2:45, Im going to walk over to the gym for yoga which will be from 3-4 at the rec center. I need to de-stress and unwind before I start my long trek of studying for finals. Im not too worried about my finals but I don't want to go into my exam not having cracked open my text book or even looked at my notes. That wouldn't be too smart considering Im looking at the moment at 3 As and 2 B/B+.

As for working out otherwise, Ive gone to the gym everyday since I got back from Easter break which was really a four day weekend. I can tell Im starting to tone up a bit and I might have actually lost a little bit of weight. Now Im focusing on maintaing my weight and building my endurance up so I can hopefully do well in a few 5K races this summer.

On to the eats! Normally when its final time, I get super stressed and restrict my intake quite a bit, sleep excessively and focus on studying. This seems to be the case and when I do try to increase my intake and add heathy choices since being a nutrition major, I know how to eat healthy, I have no appetite. Today for breakfast, I had the usually coffee with maybe 1/4 cup of canned pears ( yeah the school sucks with fresh fruit in the am hours) and about 3/4 cup of cottage cheese. Lunch was soup or more like broth with 1/4 cup of kidney beans and dinner will most likely be soup again.

By Sunday when Im finally settled back into my home, I will have my appetite back and most likely eat a normal size meal, not just soup twice a day.

Off to yoga! Have a great start to the month of May!

Stress of finals

Ive neglected to post in what seems like months. Actually it has been months. The stress of the end of the semester and finals have caught up to me. This week I had a debate and a presentation in my research in nutrition class. Next week, I have a final in history and the following week, which would have been me home, working out at the gym and watching my niece, it now filled with one final exam and a jeopardy game, not even a final in my mythology class.

Tomorrow, is relay for life which I am excited to participate in. If you unaware of what relay for life is, its an overnight walk to end cancer and provide another birthday for someone suffering with cancer. Ive been personally touched by cancer as my grandfather passed away 31 years ago from brain cancer.

As per the stress of school, Ive tried to eat normally but I find myself sleeping through meals, studying through or having either coffee, diet soda or a piece of fruit or soup. In due time, my appetite with return and I will eat normal sized meals. Could this be my eating disorder returning due to stress? I hope not even though I know Ive lost a few pounds.

Spring has sprung!

Gosh can it be spring already? Here in Jersey we've had a rather mild winter so its as if spring already spring back in January. With spring break behind me, that only leaves about four weeks of the spring semester. I need a break from all the busy work and studying of school. Recently, I received a shipment from a company called Dr. Kracker. There were a total of four snackers: seedlander, klassic 3 seed, cherry semolina and fire roasted , and two crisp breads: Pumpkin Seed Cheddar and Klassic 3 Seed. Overall I really enjoyed the few that I samples as well as my parents. The snackers were a bit tough but my mom put them in a bowl of soup and they softened up a bit and were quite great. Each serving of crackers are packed with protein, fiber, essential fatty acids and contain between 12 and 21 grams of whole grains per serving.

The Pumpkin Seed Cheddar was by far my favorite flavor and combined a nice crunch with a nutty flavor and cheesy flavor of cheddar that isn't too overpowering. I personally love crunchy foods and any fan of of crunchy foods who is looking for a healthy snack would agree as well. Each cracker has 100 calories, 5g of fat, 13 carbs, 3g fiber and 6g protein.

The Klassic 3 Seed was a hearty cracker much like the pumpkin seed cheddar is with a rich nutty tastes. Each crisp bread contains 100 calories, 4g fat, 11g carbs, 3g fiber and 5g protein.

The seedlander cracker was quite tough and a hard cracker. Unfortunately, you must have a good strong pair of teeth for these crackers. My mom and dad tried these and they would agree and dipped them into their soup which softened the crackers up a bit. Both my parents agreed that the flavor provided a wholesome nutty and hearty taste. A serving is 8 pieces containing 100 calories, 4.5g fat, 14g carb, 3g fiber and 5g of protein.

The cherry semolina cracker was surprisingly a crunchy and a bit hard. They were hard at first but it was as if my mouth was getting some exercise. It had a wheat flavor with the perfect hint of sweetness from the cranberry flavor. I tired them plain and thought they were different than any cracker I had ever tasted before but defiantly worth it. I wish they weren't so tough as my mom thought she was going to break a tooth.

The fire roasted cracker had a spicy flavor to the cracker which was a change from the nutty taste of the other  flavors I had tasted. Overall I enjoyed this flavor quite nicely. An 8 cracker serving contains 115 calories, 4g fat, 16g carbs, 1g fiber and 4g of protein.

Overall I really liked these unusual crackers. If they were a bit thinner they wouldn't have been so tough but personally I enjoy tough crunchy snacks. Im always on the lookout for healthy whole grain, high protein and high fiber snacks and these fit the bill.

spring break

This past week seemed to drag on beyond belief. I had only one mid-term this week in history and ended up receiving a 90 on it. I was pretty pleased with myself. I had one class today, history, and then I had a pretty decent workout at the gym. I jogged for 45 minutes and then lifted for about 20 minutes or so. I use to be afraid of lifting for a fear that I would get huge but now I know that females don't have the ability to do so unless they take steroids. Im more concerned about being tone as appose to being super skinny.

For breakfast today, I had a gnu bar and a soy latte, Im lactose intolerant so I can't have dairy. I usually end up having some dairy during the day and then my stomach hurts all day. :/ Lunch I had egg whites, hummus and some carrots. I took a nap in the afternoon, then pack and my dad picked me up around 4pm today and spring break officially started. Since its lent, I had tuna and spinach. Yummy!

Welcome!

Hey everyone! I’m Nicole and I’m a college student. I’m in no way a nutrionalist or exercise expert. My goal is just to show you what I eat and what kind of exerise I do daily. I’ve been inspired by many online blogs and decided to start my own. I'm currently working towards a degree in nutrition. I try to stay active everyday as well as try to fit in running. I pretty much follow a vegetarian diet since I was in 6th grade but I wouldn't consider myself to be on a diet.
I suffered from anorexia in high school and into college. I would consider myself to be in recovery. Each day is a challenge and a life long battle. I take each day as it comes to me.
I’ll try to post something everyday if I can, but i’m a college student and that’s not always possible to do.
Some random facts: I love coffee, and tea. I can’t live without it. I’m a sucker for a good book. I love reading. I love starbucks and so far this year I’ve spent a good amount of my tutoring money on it. lol I love fashion and shopping and hanging w/ friends. Most importantly I love running and putting good fuel into my body. I also love watching movies and find reality TV to be a guilty pleasure.
Ciao bella!
